Alexandra Bless from Switzerland came to volunteer for 3 weeks. This was her first trip to Thailand. She was able to go on Outreach and Hospital visits with the kids, learn Thai cooking and bring her kindness and gentleness to the kids.

Mary Beth Patout from Louisiana USA arrived for a shorter stay than her usual visit. She was able to help out with nursing activities in the Outreach Program and in the medicine room at Sarnelli House. We thank her for carrying the donated medical supplies from Reggie Bollich and the supporters of Charlene House.

Josh Feitelson and Marlene Brandl who are students from Hamburg Germany, visited to gather information about Sarnelli House and similar projects in Thailand and Cambodia. They will then go back to Germany and use the material they have produced to promote awareness of these projects among school children and university students.

Stephanie Des Arts- Loup visited for the second time this year, having survived the New Year camping with the kids in Nong Seng. The girls from Nazareth House demanded home made chocolate cake so Stephanie and the girls cooked up a storm in the kitchen at Charlene House.

Angela Introna came for a quick visit to see Kate, the last time she was here was in 2003 – so the children have grown a lot since then. She enjoyed her 2 days and then it was back home to work.

June visitors

Laura Clayson and Ruth Titmuss from Project Trust UK came for their 2nd visit. They came with money donated from Saddleworh Round Table UK. 8 bicycles were bought for 8 very excited little boys who live at St Patrick’s, and who would normally just watch the bigger kids ride their bikes with resignation and a touch of envy. Now they can join in.  Many thanks.

Chris Leonhard from Reach Out made a quick weekend visit at the beginning of his holidays. He bought the usual fun that is now fully expected from any Reach Out visit. Also many thanks for the boxes of school pencils, shoes and presents that came with Chris. “Sherlock Holmes” the movie was projected onto the wall at the Jan and Oscar and St Patrick’s dining room and was enjoyed by all. Games and lunch on Sunday wore everyone out and we can’t wait for the next visit for more of the same.

They were a credit to their families and communities the way they conducted themselves and showed such respect and willingness to help out in whatever way they could. We wish Zach well in his nursing and football career and blessings to Brice in continuing his study for the priesthood.
